We’ve added UK-specific CMP templates so you can configure consent in line with UK GDPR + PECR and the ICO’s 2025 online tracking priorities. This applies to Websites & Apps targeting people in the United Kingdom.
There are two UK templates:
UK GDPR (standard, non-TCF)
UK TCF (for IAB TCF use in the UK)
Why do these templates exist?
UK rules require explicit opt-in for non-essential storage/access and meaningful, easy refusal. The ICO expects equally prominent “Accept” and “Reject” choices and simple withdrawal of consent.
What’s different vs. the standard configuration?
“Reject All” always on (first & second layer)
Users must always see a “Reject All” option with equal prominence to “Accept All”.-
UK TCF defaults
Publisher Country Code is preselected to UK.
"Apply GDPR only to EU/EEA users” is off by default (so UK users are covered).
When to choose which template?
UK GDPR: You need a UK-compliant banner without TCF signaling (you do not sell ads on your website, but integrate with tools for analytics, functional and statistical requirements).
-
UK TCF v2: You participate in digital advertising and need IAB signaling for the UK market.
